BBC's `Teeneager's Turn (Here We Go)' broadcast (all 7 March 1962 session except `Hello Little Girl'). Mar 17 Saturday : Party at the family house in Huyton, thrown by Dolly, mother of Vera and Joan Brown, who has become engaged to Sam Leach. Guests, among others: the Beatles, Brian, Rory Storm, Bob Wooler.
The Beatles first single release anywhere in the world was 'Love Me Do' on Parlophone Records (EMI) in England on 5 October 1962. The song made it to number 17 on the British charts, not a bad effort for a debut.
