Social Distancing

Social distancing has occurred throughout history during pandemics. This image of a couple wearing masks, is a picture from the 1940's Pandemic, which lasted through the 1950's across Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The outbreaks created panic and led to travel bans between cities in the US. At the height of the disease in 1952, 3145 Americans died from Polio. Many were left paralyzed.
